Community Action Norfolk

Dear All

You may remember that CAN (Community Action Norfolk), the charity I work for, is providing support to grassroots community groups (sometimes called mutual aid groups) that developed in West Norfolk during Covid-19 as part of a project we are doing for the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk.

We are running a couple of free online sessions for these groups of volunteers who have been helping their neighbours for the last 9 months or so. The idea is that group volunteers and organisers can ‘meet’ us (me and my colleague Tracey) and people in other community groups like theirs in an online video session and chat through any issues or queries they have and discuss what works well when you are part of a group helping others in your community.

The flyer attached provides details of the two sessions which we are running in February – one in an evening and one in a morning. We’d appreciate it if you would share this email within your local networks or on any parish notice board in case there are volunteers still helping who would like to attend – community group organisers, volunteers and local councillors are welcome and can come to either session.

Regards

Sarah
