The PC believes that the relatively small amount of money it raises through the precept and spends on the parish has a large and noticeable impact on residents. The PC provides and/or looks after many village assets such as playgrounds, litter, streetlights, speed warnings, defibrillators, bus shelter, notice boards, public green areas, and footpaths and most of the precept is spent every year on regular expenses.
Notes for Budget Financial Year 2021-2022:
- Regular expenses
- Most regular expenses are similar to last year
- Maintenance and Repairs – Assets
- There are some substantial one-off repairs required to some of the playground equipment
- Capital Projects
- As part of its efforts to keep the precept as low as possible, the PC has now used up most of its reserves.
- In the coming year, the PC is anticipating a number of beneficial capital projects (NCC land, trod, defibs, adult gym etc) some of which attract external funding if the PC provides match funding
- To be able to react to these opportunities, the PC believes that it is prudent to ensure that some new funding for discretionary capital projects is available for 2021-2022
- Precept 2021-2022:
- As an example, a Band D house will pay £1.53 per week
